Hi, I am the owner of the Modern Romantic Amante Bridal. My lifelong expertise in Fashion started when I was very young. Having qualified as a Fashion Designer overseas, my love for fashion, especially formal wear and wedding dresses has led me to purchase this amazing bridal store. My sewing skills have been in practise for well over 25 years and from my small studio I love to design and create wedding dresses. With many years of Retail experience, you know you are in good hands!

We love to give our brides the experience they deserve, this means an appointment is necessary. If you happen to stumble across us, we will do our best to find an appointment for you that day.
Most designers need 5-9 months to create your dream dress, so to avoid feeling stressed out, we recommend you begin dress shopping 12 months before your big day, this allows enough time for alterations if needed.
Getting married sooner that that? Don’t stress, most designers offer a rush service, but fees do apply.
We offer several different appointment styles so that we can really get stuck into the nitty gritty!

Get ready , your appointment goes for 60 minutes, we can’t wait to show you our favourites!
My dress is sorted, what about accessories?
Aren’t you in luck, we’ve got 30 wonderful minutes to go through our favourite hand-beaded veils, crowns/headpieces and jewellery! This can be done at your second appointment if you are coming in to try on your beautiful favourites again!
I’m ready to order!
Congratulations! We offer a 30 minute appointment to order your dream gown, you can try her on again, fall head over heels in love with her all over again and get your contracts etc. sorted!
My gown has arrived!!!!
This is one of our most favourite appointments! We will contact you to arrange a time to come in and pick up your gorgeous gown.
Although we love a good party, we’re a cute little boutique with limited seating and don’t have the space for everyone on your guest list! We do however, have enough comfy seating for you and 3 of your favs! We find that with opinions, unlike chocolate, less is more and having the opinion of a trusted few will help you come to your decision a lot easier.
You might find it handy to bring a good strapless bra to keep the girls up, and if you’re feeling it, some shapewear. Anything you plan on wearing on your special day really.
We do ask however, that you refrain from wearing fake tan or heavy makeup when trying on our dresses, as we are all too familiar with that dreaded orange mark on the neckline of a gorgeous dress ??
Yes, but only because we know you’re going to do it anyway! We work a little differently here at Amante Bridal- snapped a cute shot of the boutique? Share away! Just make sure to tag us!
We also don’t mind selfies being shared, please just be mindful of the bride and which gown she is choosing, we don’t want ‘The One’ ending up on socials!
CONGRATULATIONS!! We will now measure you up, down and around so that our designers can make your gown as close as possible to your current size.
You will be required to pay 50% up front and the remaining 50% once your dress has arrived in store.
Never fear beautiful child, we can help you with that too! Most made to order gowns will require some form of nip and tuck as they are made to your closest size and as we know, no two bodies are made the same.
When you come to pick up your gown, we have a professional seamstress to give you a free alteration consultation, right away! This will help you understand what you may need done on your dress and how much it may cost to do so.
Our stylists at Amante have handpicked their faves from each designer to feature in our boutique at all times, a trunk show only lasts a couple of days and allows us to house the ENTIRE RANGE!! Yes, there will be treats. Yes, there will be discounts and yes, there will be dancing. This means that appointments fills up FAST, so keep an eye out on our ‘Trunk Shows’ page for updates!
Amante is a street front store, so there is plenty of one hours parks available directly out front, but sometimes you might have to fight the locals for a spot and may even have to park around the corner in Maccas

That depends on the Dress code and formalities of the wedding. Most Mother's (of the Groom or Bride) will wear just below the knee to the floor dresses. It depends on yourself and what you normally wear. if you can wear to the floor ,great, if not you may prefer tea lenght or below the knee.
Always best to check in with the Bride too .

What's the best shapewear for under my wedding dress?

My Best advise is to contact your nearest Lingerie store. They are the experts in shapewear and can recommend the latest and best versions.
We have a great store nearby and I refer all my brides there and they are always happy with their shapewear.Wishing you all the very best with your wedding!
Tips for not dying of heat in 30 degree weather in a wedding dress?
We are having a destination wedding, likely Thailand or somewhere hot. How to keep cool, minimise sweat stains, any tips or what to pack appreciated!

The best fabrics are natural ones, silk and cotton. If you haven't purchased your dress yet, think about a style that is lighter and has less layers with maybe a plunging v ,open back etc. Having your hair in an updo will keep your neck cool. If you also have a bridesmaid nearby to gently fan you , that would be ideal.
