Wedding cars provide more than just transport to your wedding ceremony; they are a statement of your personalities and they present wonderful photo opportunities during the day. Part of the most special day of your life will be spent in your wedding car, so it should be a wonderful and enjoyable experience, not just a ride to your destination. There are many different types of wedding car to choose from, here are a few possibilities to get you started:
For the ultimate in luxury and decadence on your wedding day, hire a chauffeur driven stretch limo, Rolls Royce or Bentley. Check that your wedding car provider will decorate the car for the occasion, and will provide champagne, romantic music, and maybe even a red carpet for your arrival at the reception as a newly married couple. These types of wedding cars are perfect for an elegant, urban wedding, especially for an evening reception.

If you hope to achieve a more traditional feel with your wedding, you might like to consider a vintage wedding car to help you make your grand entrance. To create a real talking point, hire a 1920s vintage Dodge Presidential Limousine, or perhaps a Sedanca de Ville.
For real class a 1940s Austin Sheerline, or a 1950s Rolls Royce Silver Cloud could be the perfect choice. As both cars can take four passengers comfortably, they could be used to get you and your bridesmaids to the ceremony, and would provide a very relaxing drive for you and your new husband to your reception.
Choosing an American wedding car is a very popular option, and can make a real statement as you arrive at your ceremony. Try a white 1960s Cadillac Coupe DeVille which can take up to four passengers making it the perfect choice for you and your bridesmaids.
Alternatively you can create impact with a red Corvette Stingray, but bear in mind this can only take one passenger so you could only arrive in it if your father or maid of honour drove. It would be a great wedding car for the best man to drive to the ceremony with your fiancée.
For great wedding car photos take a look at a four door pillar-less Chevrolet. As there is no bar between the front and back windows you can get unique photos of you and the groom on your special day, or you and your bridesmaids on the way to the ceremony.
Making your wedding unique and personal is the aim of many modern couples, and choosing novelty wedding cars can certainly add interest to your big day.
If you live in Western Australia, a replica tram that can transport your whole bridal party to the ceremony and reception is a fun idea. Available in Perth and Freemantle, some companies hire double trams that can take up to sixty guests, not just your bridal party. To get the most out of your tram hire, consider having your guests take tours in it while you are having your bride and groom photos taken.
Another novelty wedding car that could be used to transport your entire bridal party is a 1960s Leyland School Bus. Imagine the photo opportunities as you and your well groomed relatives hop on the school bus to get to your wedding breakfast.
Ladies, on the big day, just relax and take it all in. This is your day, and nothing matters but marrying the man you love. ~ Sandra & Kai - Married 01/05/2010
