Wedding Limo

Hiring a wedding limousine for your big day is a glamorous and luxurious way to travel, and it can be a practical choice if you have several bridesmaids to travel with you. A limousine is one of the most popular types of wedding car, and it’s not difficult to see why.

Tips for brides planning on hiring a limo for their wedding day

  • Try to find experienced wedding limo drivers/companies as they will have the experience and history to help make your day a success.

  • Have the limo pick up the groom and best man and transport them to the ceremony location first, and then go on to pick up the bride and bridesmaids. This means you get more value from the hire of the car, and your husband to be gets to have a longer ride in it. You may be using the car as transport from the ceremony to the reception but he’ll probably only have eyes for you!

  • Once you have a date book your wedding limo asap as wedding limousines get booked up very quickly in peak wedding season and the earlier you book the more choice you will have and the more likely it is that you will get a good quality car in the style you want.

  • For large wedding parties a super stretch limousine is the perfect solution. If the whole bridal party can travel together it will add to the fun factor of your wedding, and will save you money if you were planning to hire two smaller cars with two drivers. If you will have ten or more passengers, check that there is a fifth bridal door half way along the car on the passenger side. This will make it easier for you all to get in and out of the limo.

  • Generally limo hire costs start from the time you arrange for the bride to be picked up, and end when the car is no longer required, which is usually after you arrive at the reception location and have any car related photos taken. Don’t try to rush your hire times to save money, as this will only cause stress on your wedding day. Book your limo for at least an hour longer than you expect to need it.

  • Many couples look online for their wedding limo provider. This is a great way to compare suppliers, but be sure to check that the limos in the pictures are actually the cars that they provide and that you will be able to book. If a company doesn’t advertise their prices online make sure they send you a price list or a quote in writing before you book. When you do call them to book, the information you will need to get a reliable quote will be your pick up time and location, and finish time and location.

  • Check your supplier is a Transport Accredited Operator. This will mean that the driver has been specially trained to drive a passenger vehicle, and they have undergone medical, eyesight and criminal checks.
