OVERVIEW
I put all of myself into creating a day that's yours and yours alone.
It's your wedding - let's do it YOUR way. Let's capture those feels and make it something special. I can advise you of any legal requirements and tailor-make your ceremony to reflect you.
Making something that's exactly right is a process! I will meet with you as often as we need to make sure your ceremony flows as you want it to.
I am based in Templestowe (right by our beautiful river) and am close to the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula. I can travel - I am available for your ceremony statewide.
About
A dedicated foodie, animal lover and artist - I light up when I have a chance to create something new! I have a background in disability services, learning to think on my feet with some remarkable individuals. As an interest, I have also worked in catering (sharing my love of good cooking and great food). I embrace new projects - when my kids were small I studied computer systems and designed web services for small business. I have studied singing and love to capture my world on paper!

No way! I wouldn't feel comfortable going into your ceremony without a run through and the knowledge the everyone is happy with their roles. Your rehehearsal is a part of the whole package! It's also a great time to get together and really see what's going to happen on your day..... we see things in a different light.... sometimes magic happens
how can we make a mention of same-sex couples and marriage equality in our civil ceremony?
we're not gay ourselves, but our dear friends are and we were wondering if celebrants would be open to making a special mention of it during our ceremony
Sally Howard Civil Celebrant
Making mention of your own personal beliefs wth regard to marriage equality is simple to do and most celebrants will include them within a ceremony. It can be as simple as inserting a few words after the Monitum, such as:
"However, (your names) would like to express that they believe the right to get married should be determined by love, not by a person’s gender or sexual orientation, and that they look forward to the day when this is also reflected in the law."
We can get as creative as you like!

Can I request my celebrant to wear a certain colour or outfit?
I've seen some awful clashing outfits and celebrants in white etc... is it rude to ask them to wear a particular colour or style? I don't know if I'm taking it way too far haha. But I want everything to look good! It is my wedding day, after all :)
Sally Howard Civil Celebrant
Of course you can ask! I always make sure I blend nicely with the bridal party (complementing rather than appearing to be a part of it) and would NEVER wear white! I want people focussing on YOU. If you have certain ideas about how you'd like me to appear then hit me with them! It's YOUR day...... remember that!
