How will I know when I've found "the dress"?

I'm not really a girly girl so it's hard for me to imagine finding THE wedding dress that everyone seems to talk about. Does this happen for everyone? And how will I know? I'm scared I'll choose something out of necessity and not because I honestly love it. I don't wear dresses much.

You don't have to be a 'girly girl ', or wear a lot of dresses to have an amazing experince in finding your gown. Honestly most brides feel the exact same way you do. The pressure to find the perfect dress has steam rolled into such a big thing that it can make it a stressful time for any bride. The key is to be excited and have fun, you're getting married!!! Be honest about what you like and what you don't like, it's okay if you don't find what you a looking for straight away.

Before you set out on finding the gown, do a little research into the types of gowns you might like. This is going to give you and the stylist a jumping off point. Once you try some gowns on you will be able to narrow it down.

Some great questions to ask yourself when you are trying on gowns are;

1. Do I like how this shape looks on my body?

2. Do I like this way this gown feels on?

3. How does this gown make me feel?

4. Do I feel like myself when I'm wearing this gown?

5. Can I see myself walking down the aisle in this gown?

Ask yourself these questions before you show your entourage the gown. It will help you be honest with yourself on what you like or don't like.  Your opinion and your thoughts on the gown are the most important out of anyones.

Remember to have fun while shopping for your gown. It is a beautiful and exciting time in your life.
