Am I allowed to take photos of the dresses at my dress appointment?

I heard from a friend that this is sometimes not allowed at the dress fitting/appointment, but is this the norm? Feel like it will help me if I can see what I look like in photos.

I think photos are a great way to see yourself in your possible gown before making your final decision. With a wedding gown being one of the biggest fashion purchases you are likely to make, it makes sense to really feel good about your choice.

As far as taking photos at your dress appointment, It really does depend on the designer or store. Most will be fine with it ( just politely ask if it's okay before snapping away), others may feel it is not part of the experience they wish you to have whilst in their store.

My advice, ask if they permit photos when you arrive for your appointment. That way you will know the lay of the land before you start trying on gowns and can just enjoy your moment!!
