Can we request songs on the night?

Sure, we get couples to tick all the songs they want to hear from our extensive songlist and we'll play as many of them on the night as possible. We also ask that you tell us your dislikes from the list as well. The band can also learn specific song requests such as important songs for your First Dance or Father Daughter dance. Just give us at least one weeks notice to learn them!

How many hours will you play at my wedding reception?

Our typical call out time for a wedding reception is 5-6 hours, during that time we will play 4 X 45 min live sets across the night.

What kind of music do you play?

Great question, at a typical wedding reception we play four sets. The first set will be chilled type music- John Ledgend, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys.. The next set will be mid tempo, and the final two sets will be your aboslute take-the-house-down dancefloor music. In our final sets we'll play hits like Mr Brightside, Lonely Boy, Summer of 69, Jessie's Girl, Dance Monkey, Shut Up & Dance With Me, Uptown Funk, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Proud Mary... the list goes on... Basically we aim to cover a number of genres from 70's, 80's, 90's and modern hits.

Can you do music for our Ceremony and Canapés Hour as-well?

We sure can, essetially Ms Lexi & Celestial Band is a 4-5 piece wedding reception band, however, Ceremonies and Canapes sets are often part of our packages depending on what our lovely couples need. We can do a soloist at your Ceremony, or Acoustic Duo, and either option for your Canapes hour too. Give us a call to get a tailored and competitive quote today based on your requirments. :)

What freebies can I get with my live band package?

Everyone loves a freebie! In light of COVID 19 we're giving all of our lovely 2020 and 2021 couples a complimentary wedding MC on all of out 4 and 5 piece reception band packages! Normally valued at $300. We'll make sure everyone hears important annoucements throughout the night, and keep track of schedule for you!

We are also giving our couples a complimentary DJ Concierge service on all 4 and 5 piece reception bands. Before and after all of our live sets, we'll play music through our PA system that your guests can enjoy as background music or dance music. We can also completely customise the playlists for you to make sure that any song that you like gets played! Normally valued at $250

Then you can request a few other Special Songs that you would like played for the First Dance or Father Daughter Dance. Hey,

Great question. Off the top of my head "I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross is a great entrace song for a Bride or Bride/ Groom couple! This is one that Celestial Band plays quite regularly. Although what I will say is that any song that is special, or that you like can make a great entrace song for the Bride/ Groom!

Alternative first dance songs?

Thanks for your questions. There are so many GREAT First Dance songs to choose from. As a couple on your big day, you can litterally choose any song that has a special meaning to you and your partner. At Celestial Band, we have a huge song list to choose from, but we also take requests as well. So if you have an extra special song that you want for your Frist Dance, even if it is a little 'alternative' we will happily learn it for you ad play it. :)
