{"id":189759,"date":"2017-05-21T23:27:57","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T13:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/unconventional-formal-date-leads-to-chenelle-and-leighs-classic-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T20:15:38","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T09:15:38","slug":"unconventional-formal-date-leads-to-chenelle-and-leighs-classic-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/unconventional-formal-date-leads-to-chenelle-and-leighs-classic-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Unconventional formal date leads to Chenelle and Leigh&#8217;s classic wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">While Chenelle Muller was attending her Year 12 formal, she wasn\u2019t exactly scouting talent outside of her peers.<\/p>\n<p>But the slip of a napkin from one of the waiters quickly turned into a romance. \u201cThere was no communication all night until the last five minutes when he wrote his number on a napkin and placed it in my hand before walking out,\u201d explains Chenelle, 26, of Leigh Iacovangelo, 28.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A few hours later, a text message; a few days later, a phone call&#8230;&#8221; and a few years after that the Melbourne couple married at their classic wedding on April 1, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>A traditional ceremony with 190 witnesses took place at Toorak Uniting Church, followed by a <a title=\"Reception venues\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reception<\/a>\u00a0at Linley Estate. The venue\u00a0was decorated with crystal, florals and the colour navy, fitting for the autumn celebration. The bride describes their union as &#8220;authentic, traditional, elegant and most of all, fun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was the <a title=\"Wedding hacks for a dream wedding\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/articles\/wedding-hacks-dream-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">best day <\/a>of our lives, one day we will share with our kids our wonderful
