{"id":185211,"date":"2017-09-10T20:00:21","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T10:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/anna-and-chriss-beautiful-floral-wedding-beneath-the-grand-fig-tree\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T00:39:54","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T13:39:54","slug":"anna-and-chriss-beautiful-floral-wedding-beneath-the-grand-fig-tree","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/anna-and-chriss-beautiful-floral-wedding-beneath-the-grand-fig-tree\/","title":{"rendered":"Anna and Chris&#8217;s beautiful floral wedding beneath the grand fig tree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">When Chris Evans was experiencing one of life&#8217;s lows, along came Anna-Rita Auciello.<\/p>\n<p>The Cairns pair initially met online and on their first date, clicked straight away. &#8220;Before we knew it we had been sitting chatting for over three hours!&#8221; Anna, 24 recalls.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps their meeting could not have come at a better time for Chris, 30, who was struggling with depression at the time. &#8220;We still think it\u2019s amazing that even in those circumstances our relationship was able to grow, and if anything the struggle made us stronger,&#8221; reflects Anna.<\/p>\n<p>On August 20, 2016 Anna and Chris exchanged vows among 55 family and friends beneath the giant fig tree at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Cairns\/HotelGrandChancellorPalmCove\/\">Hotel Grand Chancellor <\/a>in Palm Cove, QLD. &#8220;As soon as we stood on their\u00a0Fig Tree Deck, we looked at each other and knew this was where we were going to get married,&#8221; recalls the bride.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u00a0made a point of keeping everything understated, letting the majestic tree and vibrant arrangements by <a title=\"Stella Florist and Gift Gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingFlowers\/Cairns\/StellaFloristAndGiftGallery\/\">Stella Florist<\/a> shine for their floral wedding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our photos took place under the palm trees of Palm Cove.
