{"id":182633,"date":"2018-03-21T18:00:12","date_gmt":"2018-03-21T07:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/casual-sunday-proposal-leads-to-relaxed-intimate-wedding-in-centennial-park\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T01:45:12","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T14:45:12","slug":"casual-sunday-proposal-leads-to-relaxed-intimate-wedding-in-centennial-park","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/casual-sunday-proposal-leads-to-relaxed-intimate-wedding-in-centennial-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Casual Sunday proposal leads to relaxed intimate wedding in Centennial Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">A relaxed casual\u00a0proposal one Sunday afternoon set the tone for Juliana and Andrew&#8217;s relaxed intimate wedding.<\/p>\n<p>The pair, aged 34 and 38 respectively, were enjoying the Sunday markets and food stalls in <a title=\"10 incredible Sydney wedding photographers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/articles\/incredible-sydney-wedding-photographers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sydney\u2019s <\/a>Royal Botanic Gardens. \u201cWe were lying down, enjoying each other\u2019s company when Andrew sort of sat up,\u201d explains Julie. \u201cHe looked at me sheepishly and asked me \u2018Would you like to spend our lives together?\u2019\u201d It was a shock for the administrative officer who didn\u2019t think her beau would ever be able to pull off a surprise proposal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we were appreciating that moment, there was a wedding being set-up a few metres away and a romantic song started playing which drifted across the park,\u201d smiles Julie. \u201cIt was lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pair married on December 16, 2017 with 50 guests. A ceremony at <a title=\"Centennial Parklands\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Sydney\/CentennialParklands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centennial Park<\/a> was followed by their reception at The Grounds of Alexandria. \u201cWe stripped it back, I didn\u2019t want the formal hall-like room with the white table and chairs, we didn\u2019t have bridesmaids or groomsmen, I didn\u2019t want for it to become a show for our guests,\u201d explains the bride. \u201cWe made it about us and the people we loved most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy of <a
