They wed with 130 guests in their presence on November 18, 2017 with a ceremony at Hickson Road Reserve and reception at <a title=\"L'Aqua\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Sydney\/Laqua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L\u2019Aqua<\/a> Darling Harbour, Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Just months after they were engaged, Ashleigh\u2019s mum became ill. \u201cMy world was turned upside down. Steve was my rock as I tried to make sense of anything and support her,\u201d recalls Ashleigh. \u201cShe vowed to do everything in her power to be riding shotgun in the <a title=\"10 wedding cars we love\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/articles\/10-wedding-cars-love\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kombi <\/a>as my sister drove my bridesmaid to the wedding \u2026 and she was! She\u2019s all clear and it just made the day that much more special to all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor us, our wedding day was perfect. We wanted it to be a celebration, a party that everyone could enjoy and that\u2019s exactly what it was.
