{"id":180959,"date":"2018-10-10T20:00:13","date_gmt":"2018-10-10T09:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/nadia-and-bruno-mark-love-and-loss-at-black-tie-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T03:03:44","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T16:03:44","slug":"nadia-and-bruno-mark-love-and-loss-at-black-tie-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/nadia-and-bruno-mark-love-and-loss-at-black-tie-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Nadia and Bruno mark love and loss at black tie wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">After three years together, Nadia and Bruno were excited to learn they were expecting a baby, but equally scared to tell their family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were not married and our family\u2019s values stem from our Italian heritage \u2026 I kept telling Bruno we needed to get married,\u201d explains 29-year-old Nadia. \u201cNot knowing that Bruno (31) had already purchased a ring and was planning to propose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple married at their black tie wedding on June 8, 2018 with 160 guests with a ceremony at St Mary\u2019s Church in St Kilda and reception at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Melbourne\/VogueBallroom\/\">Vogue Ballroom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we were expecting our first child, our priority was to incorporate our wedding with the baby\u2019s christening, so we found a church that would accept our modern traditions and a venue that would also cater to the double event,\u201d explains Nadia. \u201cWe aligned this with a date of the 8<sup>th <\/sup>of June, when our baby would be six months old. We also wanted the number eight in our wedding date as it symbolises infinity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, things took a sad turn. \u201cThis all changed when I laboured prematurely, and our son was a stillborn,\u201d says the bride. \u201cOur wedding priority then was to not only make it a celebration of our love, but also a celebration of our son\u2019s short life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos
