Our observatory was operated in the late 1800&#8217;s by an Astronomer named John Tebbutt, who discovered two comets from the property and was the first Australian-born Astronomer.<\/p>\n<p>For his work in early Southern Sky observations, he has been honoured internationally by having a crater on the moon named after him and nationally by being on the first Australian $100 note.<\/p>\n<p>Located on a rural outlook, our established gardens, manicured lawns, observatory, and barn offer a variety of backdrops providing many photo opportunities and beautiful locations for garden ceremonies.
