Julia’s watercolour story on their custom wedding website. Image: brianlovesjulia

A Boston bride spent a year illustrating the story of how she and her groom met, so she could put it up on her custom wedding website – and the results are enchanting.

Julia Muse, an illustrator and lettering artist, spent a year illustrating and painting milestone events that occurred in her relationship with and her now husband, Brian Muse. Brian is a computer programmer who then took the lovingly created artworks and turned them into code for the couple’s wedding website.

An excerpt from Julia and Brian’s ‘how we met’ story, which featured on their custom wedding website. In the lead up to their big day, Julia spent hours illustrating and painting their story in watercolour so that Brian could then animate and code the paintings.

Julia shared her wedding website on social media sharing site reddit saying, “We spent so much time thinking about this site in addition to wedding planning, the feedback makes it all worth it.”

Julia illustrated everything from the first time they met, to their first kiss, and the moment Brian proposed, all in beautifully colourful detail.

Julia and Brian shared the story of how they met on their wedding website and included important milestones throughout their relationship, including this first trip up an aisle. Although Julia and Brian had sent out Save the Date cards and invitations, (which, naturally, Julia also whipped up), the couple included a sweet message at the end of the watercolour story, inviting their guests to attend their June wedding to help the couple celebrate.
