This is the first photograph ever taken&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Check out this picture. It is, apparently, <strong>the first photograph ever taken by a human<\/strong>. Wow.<\/p>\n<p>We kind of take it for granted these days, but this photo was taken on Paris&#8217; Boulevard du Temple in 1838. Aside from being one of the first photos ever taken, it&#8217;s also the first known photograph to include a human.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, taking photos required an exposure time of more than ten minutes, so all the people, carriages and other moving items don&#8217;t appear in the scene. However, in the bottom left-hand corner, you can see a man who was relatively still for the entire time. Why? He was having his shoes shined! Just thought I&#8217;d share&#8230; awesome, no?
