“The best wedding we’ve ever been to!” That was the feedback from our 100ish guests. Ours was officially the loudest wedding - at 105dB - the venue had ever hosted. We wanted our wedding day to offer maximum good times. Turn it up to eleven. For us, choosing the band, the venue, and the catering was relatively easy. But where do you find a celebrant who’s equal parts energetic and sentimental? One who understands how and when to bring the bride, groom, and congregation to tears, and when to crack a joke like Indiana Jones cracks a whip? “The celebrant! She was perfect! Where did you find her?!” Our brief was pretty specific. We wanted our ceremony officiated by the embodiment of favourite Greek auntie vibes. Lucky then, that I first met Kiki at a mate’s wedding, and after their ceremony knew I’d found the right celebrant for us. In the lead up to our wedding, she was extremely communicative. She replies to emails faster than I can write them. At the wedding, Kiki was effortlessly funny, sentimental in the right spots, and kept our ceremony to a tight, impactful thirty minutes. A consummate professional. She’s a superstar: tailored our ceremony for us so it fit like a bespoke suit, and understood the brief right away. Dealing with a million and one vendors who don’t answer phone calls, worrying about weather, and balancing the nefarious demands of extended family is stressful enough. Working with Kiki was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning, and we can’t thank, or recommend her enough.
