How We Met:

We worked at a panel shop together. Terry was a spray painting apprentice and I was a panel beating apprentice.

The Proposal:

In a big spa bath at the Esplenade Hotel.

Wedding Dress:

Strapless puffy wedding dress with beading and a nice curved train.

Diamond necklace and earrings.

Groom's Attire:

Black tuxedo, waistcoat and shirt with a white tie and hanky.

A burlesque style two piece custom made dress with beading and piping. (Sounds awful looked great!)My aunt flew over from Melbourne to make all 5 bridesmaids dresses and the ties, hankys and waistcoats for the entire bridal party.

Wedding Theme:

The theme was burlesque / bohemian with the colours being black and purple with a splash of white.

I had the very talented Michelle from Flowers by Michelle in Jandakot do all of my flowers as well as some custom centre pieces I had made, which were flowers coming out of a beaded handbag. Just beautiful and she was about $600 less than any other florist.

Ceremony Reception Decor

I had Elysium functions do white table cloths with a black overlay. White chair covers with black and purple bows and black napkins folded into fans as well as backdrops and skirtings with swagging for the stage, cake table and present tables. Flowers by michelle made some beautiful arrangements for the bridal table and centre pieces.

This was something I put together myself. I made a "love kit" which comprised of a small box containing a candle, a small bottle of "love potion" and some bubbles with a little poem saying what it was for.

Special Moments:

Walking in and seeing my ideas come together!

Erinna Murray was our photographer and she was amazing! I really loved that she put in the extra effort to get everything perfect and was very patient and understanding.
