How We Met:

We met one night in a night club and after a drunken pash five years on here we are...not very romantic, but i still think its amazing that i stumbled over the love of my life. Who said you don´´t find good guys in clubs!

The Proposal:

We decided we would get married after we found out we were expecting our son, but wanted to wait until he was older so he could take part in the wedding and hopefully remember some of it. The wait was so worth it, he was the star of the night, but I never did get my romantic proposal!!

Wedding Dress:

I Wore a strapless fish-tail gown with a sweetheart neckline and full length train. It was the most perfect dress and i fell in love with it straight away. And so did my sister-in-law!!. I took her to the Bridal store to show her the dress and whilst we were waiting for the attendant to get my dress from up stairs, she was looking through the racks and of the 100´´s of dresses they have she pulled out my dress and got exited about her "perfect dress" least we know what her something borrowed could be!

I wore a handmade vintage inspired hair comb in my hair in place of a veil, and i added a feather hairpiece after the ceremony for a little more drama. Cheslyn bought me a Tiffany & Co bracelet as a wedding gift and I also wore a brooch that belonged to my late nanny on the back of my dress as my something old.

Groom's Attire:

The boys wore black suites and waistcoats from brittons with champagne silk ties, our son also wore a matching suit.

The girls wore strapless full length chiffron gowns with a sash under the bust made by the same designer as my dress. Two of the girls had a latte coloured gown with a mocha sash and two of them had a mocha dress with a latte sash.

Wedding Theme:

We went for a Vintage theme with a touch of country charm. The colour palette was ivory, pink and green with a touch of brown.

We had roses in pinks, cream and green.

Ceremony Reception Decor

We didnt need much decoration for the ceremony as it was in a garden (it had rained the week before so all the flowers looked amazing!!), although we did give our guests blue silk parasols with handmade tags saying ´something blue´ and our wedding programs were mismatched handmade fans. For our reception our table numbers were vintage photo frames from Italy with 19th Century wedding photos in them and our table runners were made of doilies sewn together

We had two statesman, one black and one white.

A 2 tiered Lime & coconut creation with white chocolate from babycakes. We also had a surprise Dorothy the Dinosaur cake for our son made for him to cut with us, as it was his birthday the week after

We had a harpist from Angel sounds playing during the ceremony and pre-dinner drinks, then a DJ for the reception. Our first dance was to Back at One by Brian McNight. It was originally going to be to Moonriver from Breakfast at Tiffany but i secretly had it changed to Cheslyns favorite song as a surprise. Our exit song was Get Low by Little John ( Cheslyn´s choice!! )

Not so much a honeymoon as a family holiday. We spent a week in Margaret River with our son. We didnt get to many wineries but our son loved hunting for dinosaurs in the caves down there!! We went on a proper holiday a few weeks later to New Zealand.

Special Moments:

Having our son come up and join us during the ceremony and my husband whispering happy valentines to me at midnight.

Double sided tape gives awesome grip on the bottom of your shoes!! and enjoy the morning with your bridesmaids its the ultimate girls day
