How We Met:

We met through working at the HMAS Watson Wardroom. The first time that i saw chad i was hung over from a big night with the friends and he was the nice guy that introduced himself. I knew that him and i would become best friends straight away since he was the sort of male i could see myself being myself around. We were both in the navy and were placed in the same duty watch and we worked well together, we started by just talking and sharing. One thing led to another and the night before i was to leave on my ship he asked if we should try and see how things go between us. LOL i think even then we knew what we had.

The Proposal:

It was the day after my 21st birthday. I had to go and pick up our baby girl from daycare, it was so close to raining and he still insisted that i not come home for the next hour(this would have suited me fine except i didnt have a car i had to walk home which is over 1km away). After the initial hour i headed home and he said i couldnt come in, that i had to leave the house again. After 2.5hours i was allowed home. As i walked up toward our house all i could smell was popcorn, he came and said hello and said i should go inside. I let him take Lillani(our daughter) and i headed inside. I was met with rose petals, roses, candles and little 'i love you' cusions all down the passageway to our bathroom where he had our Song playing, A huge bouquet of roses, my favourite wine(with glass), more candles, a huge teddy and a bath full of popcorn. I know what your thinking...What the?? All i wanted for my 21st was a popcorn bath lol so i thought he was just surprising me with another present. I jumped in straight away. After i was in there he told me that there was something else in the popcorn if i could find it. I set out my search. At the bottom i found the ring. As i looked at him he was on his knee asking me and well of course i said yes!

Wedding Dress:

I got my dress from We didnt have much money to play with and i didnt like any of the maternity dresses that i saw, so i improvised.

I had a family heir loom for my something old( a silver bracelet thats over 200years old) My pearl necklace and earings, hair piece, shoes from E-Bay and my borrowed ring from my mummy.

Groom's Attire:

Chad went to a nice suit place in Parramatta Westfield and bought the most expensive suit he could find lol he looked super sexy though so it really doesnt matter.

Wedding Theme:

We didnt really have much of a theme, if anything it was just a day that was about us. The less expensive the better. This way there was no stress and even less cost

We just stuck to the tried and tested White Roses.

Ceremony Reception Decor

Since we didnt have a real reception we didnt need any decor. We had a great family dinner at 'Hurricane Grill Top Ryde and i will never change our day.
