Holly and Matthew wed at Hamptons-style romantic garden wedding

Matthew proposed to Holly by taking her back to their year four classroom - where they first met as children.

"The classroom was decorated with candles, crystals, flowers, photos of us over the years and a white love heart balloon with a note attached. We then hopped into a vintage Cadillac that took us to significant locations from our relationship, each stop with a heart balloon and note. The last stop was Sky High on top of Mt Dandenong, where we started dating. Matthew had set up a picnic and one last red balloon and a carpet for me to walk down, and that's where he got down on one knee."

Holly and Matthew, aged 22 and 23, married beneath a wisteria archway at Alowyn Gardens and later celebrated with a reception surrounded by native Australian flora at Bramleigh Estate in the Yarra Valley.

"We wanted a very clean, 'Hamptons' feel to the day, with lots of bright white spaces, natural elements and luxurious gold accents. We were able to capture the beautiful Australian landscape Melbourne has to offer with a touch of luxury from our stunning venues," says the bride. "It was such an incredibly fun experience to plan the day and watch it unfold."

Holly wore her dream wedding dress: a beautiful lace gown paired with a chapel-length veil.

This wisteria archway was the perfect setting for the romantic garden wedding ceremony.

"Lavan Photography captured the essence and vibe of the day effortlessly," says the bride.
