The Drama Teacher in Felicity guided her vision behind her and groom Josiah’s romantic bohemian wedding.

With plenty of mention of Felicity’s favourite Shakespearian quotes, the Melbourne couple, aged 28 and 32, exchanged vows in front of 80 close family and friends at The Abbotsford Covent on December 7, 2018. The convent captured Felicity’s heart, and not just because of its magnificent high ceilings, exposed beams and antique gold mirrors.

“The Abbotsford Convent is actually the ‘home’ of Drama Victoria, so I had attended many events at the convent previously. Being a Drama Teacher, it was the only venue I had in mind to have our wedding. It was the perfect blank canvas to add our own sense of style, without taking away from the beautiful heritage building,” says the bride.

Highlights included classic transport provided by¬†Raco Special Vehicles and Triple R Luxury Car Hire, a rocking live performance by Baker Boys Band, and Felicity’s Father-Daughter dance, which had everyone in the convent fighting back tears.

“The boys looked like James Bond in their black bowties and suits from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal,” laughs the bride.

As a nod to her Grandad, who sadly passed away a few years prior, Felicity walked down the aisle to ‘Amazing Grace’ performed on the bagpipes.

“My Grandad absolutely adored the bagpipes. It was a special way for me to honour him and have him with me as I walked down the aisle. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.”

The bridal party looked incredible in all black.

“Our wedding captured who we are as a couple. We did everything we wanted in our own unique style,” smiles the bride.
