Gorgeous Daylesford in country Victoria was the perfect location for Carly D’Sylva and Mark Parfett’s vintage-themed celebrations.
The couple chose The Convent for their vintage-themed Daylesford wedding for 75 guests held on April 12, 2014.
Carly says the day had special focus on their loved ones.
“We made an effort to ensure that our ceremony represented us and involved the people we love,” she says.
“We had our sisters and brother in our bridal party, had Mark’s grandfather present a reading and thanked our mothers with a rose.”
The couple, who were together for seven years before Mark proposed in New York’s Central Park, say it was important they spent the day with those closest to them.
“Don’t get caught up on the little things,” Carly warns brides-to-be.
“Remember the reason why you are getting married and share it with the ones you love the most. Be present in the moment and take time on the day to spend with your husband-to-be.”
