it’s a friendship that started with social media and led to a wedding with a Disney-movie style ending.

Laura Cirillo, 25, and Stephen Bell, 26, attended the same high school but didn’t reconnect until years later on social media. “When I posted about there not being any nice guys around, Stephen commented, and the rest is history,” laughs Laura.

They married with a classic wedding on June 29, 2014 with their 150 guests in Victoria. “Our wedding day was incredible surrounded by our closest friends and family,” describes Laura.

But although incredible, it wasn’t without its hiccups – of the weather variety! “When I arrived at the church it was raining, but when I got into the church the rain was forgotten and my future husband at the end of the aisle made tears roll down my cheek,” smiles Laura.

And the wet didn’t deter the happy couple and their bridal party from venturing outside for photos. “The day flew by but we enjoyed our photo shoot at Collins Place in the CBD,” explains Laura. “Before we knew it, we were heading to our reception at The Luxor Function Centre as husband and wife.”

Their first dance was complete with mist and romance.

“I love everything about Laura, from her passion for teaching and dancing, her love and strong support of her family and her willingness to put the needs of others in front of her own,” Stephen says of his new bride.

“What I love about Stephen is his sense of humour and his ability to make me laugh even in the toughest moments,” praises Laura.

The pair honeymooned in Hawaii straight after the big day.
