Shared values, the ability to make one another smile and a desire to be together forever were the perfect foundations for the marriage of Claire Minett and Luke Phillott.

The couple, both 27, celebrated a golf club wedding with 90 guests at Long Pocket on October 19, 2013.

“We picked our venue at the Indooroopilly Golf Club as we wanted our ceremony and reception to be at the same venue,” explains Claire. “Luke surprised me in the morning with flowers, a card and a pearl bracelet for me to wear on the day.”

It was the first card Claire had ever received from Luke. “I couldn’t wait to see Luke at the ceremony to wed the man who had made me so happy,” she beams.

The pair is now expecting their first child.
