How We Met:

Met through a work connection. Worked for different companies however our paths crossed in mid 2004. It wasn´t until early 2006 that our relationship kicked off seriously.

The Proposal:

Away on a trip in QLD in Aug 2008 Tim proposed at a function he was apart of. He had some inside help and I really had no idea. I was so nervous when he proposed I put the ring on the wrong hand. I called my family straight away. Tim had asked my Dad.

Wedding Dress:

Strapless Roze Zone Dress. Off white in colour. Fitted and beaded thoughout. The beads all came to one side of the dress. It had 3 layers. I borrowed a friends veil which was perfect for my something borrowed.

Accessories:

Jewerllery all made to order by Sarah Deaves - Princess Allure Jewellery. 2 pairs of baroque Swarovski crystal earrings 1 three strand swarovski crystal and pearl bracelet. Gorgeous and made perfect bridesmaids gifts.

Groom's Attire:

All suits hired from Spurling at Myer. The suit was Monaco. The hire came with Suit, Shirt, Vest, and Shoes. Tim went with Ivory tie and vest and the groomsmen went with black vests and silver ties. The guys looked fantastic. Chris at Myer was great.

Bridesmaids

Fuchsia coloured strapless knee length dresses.Silver shoes. Swarovski crystal earrings. My sister was a bridesmaid in the same dress however wore a small silver cardi over her dress.

Wedding Theme:

We married at a local country club. We picked colours that would really stand out against the greens of the golf course. Fushsia and white. It was really fun during the photos driving around in golf carts.

Flowers:

White lillies with fuchsia singapore orchids for the bridesmaids. Hot pink lilies for me. The boys wore a Singapore orchid as a bottle hole. Made by my beautiful aunty.

Ceremony Reception Decor

Ceremony was held at the country club gazebo. This was decorated by the staff red carpet and rose petals. 20 white chairs were placed in the gazebo. A white marquee and another 20 chairs were provided just across from the gazebo. A signing table was provided with a white cover.

Transport:

The boys hired a car to take them to the venue. That was a Caprice. We hired a white stretch limo which picked us up from a nearby hotel where we got ready.

Bomboniere:

We had my sister hand out ivory silk hand fans to our guest. Orginally they were intended for the female guests however due to the heat most guys grabed a fan as well which was nice to see them being used. Feedback was the fans were a great idea.

Cake:

2 teir ivory cake made by a beautiful friend. Top layer was white mud and bottle layer was chocolate mud. Flowers came down the cake. It was exactly what we wanted. Tasted fantastic.

Entertainment:

Provided by the venue. A DJ and MC. The MC did a few special things for us so that was nice and the guests danced the night away.

Honeymoon:

Honeymooned in Vanuatu for 7 days. Stayed at Irirki Island Resort. Beautiful place with beautiful people.

Special Moments:

Making eye contact with only my husband walking down the isle. He looked so nervous so I smiled at him the whole way.

Tips:

It can be stressful with outside influences but its your day remember that. It really does go fast so try to take it all in and enjoy it.
