We spoke with Lauren, a member of our customer service team to chat about her skills and how she applies them at Easy Weddings. We also learned a thing or two about how she spends her spare time:

What do you do at Easy Weddings?

I am part of the customer service team at Easy Weddings and spend my days helping clients over the phone with their advertising, speaking to couples that have been recently married to obtain reviews and anything else that may come up during the day such as preparing for upcoming industry education events.

What did you do before you joined Easy Weddings?

I have worked a number of jobs all involving customer service in one way or another! It all began with Video Ezy- before Netflix existed and you actually rented a video! From there I studied a couple of degrees- one in graphic design and then fashion design. I worked in fashion retail and a couple of design companies as a design assistant before taking a dramatic change and working in car insurance for a couple of years assisting with claims management. Having always enjoyed learning I like these types of roles.

What do you like best about working at EW?

I enjoy the variety involved in my role and that no two days are the same. Having the opportunity to speak to suppliers that are in different stages of their businesses and providing support to them in whatever way I can is really rewarding. I also love speaking to couples that have just recently been married as I get to hear the happiness surrounding their wedding day and relive it with them in our conversation!

What’s something fun we don’t know about you?

I have so many interests and like to keep things interesting always! In my spare time, I love going to the gym, yoga, eating out at different places ( as long as they have a gluten free option) and expressing my creativity by occasionally modeling which keeps me connected to my interest in fashion and that I can play different roles. I also love designing and sewing my own clothes when I can find the time!
