Staff Profile: Kristen Mills

This week, we’d like to introduce Kristen Mills, one of our marketing and branding specialists. Her role involves being on the forefront of the companies communications, helping both suppliers and couples planning their wedding.

What do you do at Easy Weddings?

I’m part of the Marketing and Branding team at Easy Weddings. Our team is here to provide support, education, and guidance to our suppliers and newlyweds!

My role involves anything from Customer Service and calling couples for reviews to Ad creation and everything in-between.

What did you do before you joined Easy Weddings?

I was a receptionist at a local newspaper for 4 years before I joined Easy Weddings.
I joined the team here as Receptionist and now I’m working as part of the friendly Marketing and Branding Team.

What are the most common questions you get from couples/suppliers?

“Why are couples asked to leave 5 reviews?”

We ask for 5 reviews to ensure that all reviews are legitimate. It gives our couples piece of mind that reviews are always by a real person who has used your service.
Reviews from couples do not have to be for suppliers which are listed with us or even registered businesses. Couples can leave a review for “non-wedding businesses” like a clothing store or a friend!

It’s a really easy process for our couples and we can contact couples on your behalf to request reviews.

What do you like best about working at EW and why?

The culture we have here at Easy Weddings is fantastic. We have so much fun every day!
I also love the interaction we have with our suppliers – we get to speak to some amazing businesses every day and we genuinely love being there to provide support and watch businesses grow.

What’s something fun we don’t know about you?

I’ve been training in Taekwondo for 5 years and have been working my way to achieving my Black Belt.
I trained for 3 years at Australias first women’s only Martial Arts Dojang before moving across to a new school where I’ve been training since.
Martial Arts has been amazing in so many ways, I’m achieving things I’d never thought I’d be able to do (sparring, breaking boards, grading for my black belt) and most importantly, I know how to defend myself!
