One of our marketing and branding specialists, Ashleigh, spoke to us about why she loves working for EW and why she doesn’t have Facebook!
What do you do at Easy Weddings?
I’m part of the Marketing and Branding team here at Easy Weddings. We are the frontline of the business, helping couples plan their big day and helping to build businesses. We educate, coach and encourage businesses to reach their potential. We ensure that their storefronts are looking their absolute best for their target market. Being part of the demographic that suppliers are selling to means that I can give them really valuable feedback to help them succeed.
What did you do before you joined Easy Weddings?
I was working in insurance claims, it was an amazing learning experience and I made a lot of great friendships. Prior to that, I studied design! I love everything visual and like to dabble in all things creative, so working in the wedding industry for a company on the forefront of everything digital suits me perfectly!
What are the most common questions you get at work?
Suppliers often call to ask about our amazing new CRM, WedCRM so I can help them use it. I love how they react to the amazing technology. Instantly, they are in awe of the CRM and feel instantly inspired to build their company.
What do you like best about working at Easy Weddings and why?
The culture. I feel like I have stepped into a company which has the culture that fits me perfectly. I also love helping our amazing suppliers and making their storefronts look amazing for them to get their business to the next level.
What’s something fun we don’t know about you?
I don’t have Facebook at all, as I found it caused me to waste time. Instead, I stay ahead of styling trends and inspiration on Pinterest.
I love dogs, (I have a dog named Mylo, a cavoodle- he even has his own Instagram!) sloths and New York City. I recently visited NYC as it has been a dream of mine for a long time, and it lived up to my expectations. The team here were surprised I came back to Melbourne!
