This dress is simply stunning - something very different while maintaining style and elegance. It was so comfortable all day - I was able to eat and drink and I danced well into the wee hours of the morning.
Dress Details: Rue De Seine 'Raven' in off white (Size 12 with DD cup). Slightly taken in around waist and bust from Rue De Seine sizing but still genuine size 12. A 3 button bustle was added, and I had it hemmed slightly at the front but kept the full length of the train. I am 165cm tall and wore 2 inch heels.
Dress Description: High neck bohemian crochet bodice, over a structured (nude) mesh half-bustier base. Racing back with hidden zipper completes the crochet look of the back of the bodice. Slight frill at waist creates definition and breaks up the bodice from a full silk embroidered skirt, with draped folds and circular train hemline. Three layers in this skirt help keep its volume and youthful gypsy feel. The detail on the crochet top is stunning and the lace skirt is very unique and soft.
The bustier bones finish at about the belly button so it is not restrictive to movement at all and is quite comfortable. I have left the buster fully intact and not altered but it can be removed or altered without damage to the crochet outer.
I paid $4,100 for the dress, over $500 for alterations (hem and bustle) and over $500 for dry cleaning so I've spent well over $5,000 on the gown.
I am based in central Victoria but frequent Melbourne and would be more than happy to bring the dress down to be tried on.
