Strapless re-embroidered 50s tulle waisted ballgown (From Henry Roth Website)
The dress is an Australian size 12 and it came with a zip – I am a size 14-16 so I had the dress professionally altered to have a lace-up at the back. The dress also had a long train which i had professionally altered to be shorter – there is still a train but not the original 1 meter one.
I bought the dress with a handmade lace balerro from the Bridal Shop – it retailed for $300 and matched the gown perfectly – people mentioned on the day how beautiful they went together. This balerro is included in the price. If you do not want the balerro the price will be $600 instead of $650.
DRY CLEANING / PRESERVATION
I was married on a Saturday and my mother (thank goodness) took my dress to the dry-cleaners on the Monday while I was on my honeymoon. It was professionally dry-cleaned and boxed with that special paper in between the layers of the dress. Even after the dry-cleaning there are a couple of tiny stains on the inside of the dress at the back where my shoes caught on it from walking in the grass. These are 100% not noticeable from the outside and really are tiny.
