Imagine if you had to learn to walk again – two weeks before your wedding…

That’s the position NRL player Aaron Whitchurch found himself in shortly before his big day.

Aaron, who plays for the Brisbane Broncos, was told he had to have major spinal surgery just two weeks before his wedding and that there was a very real chance he wouldn’t be able to walk on his wedding day.

However, refusing to need a wheelchair to make it down the aisle, Aaron weathered days and nights of agonising pain to train his legs to walk again.

Read Aaron’s touching and inspiring story here – and how, through sheer determination, he managed to walk down the aisle to marry the love of his life, the gorgeous Amy Porter.

Happy wedding planning,
