About

I live in tropical Broome in the northwest of WA with my wife and three children, I love to surf, play guitar and woodwork (when I'm not camping or riding with my kids). I've done a lot of jobs over the years including being a working musician and a nurse. I love being a videographer and it's led me to some fantastic opportunities. One of the best things about my job is filming weddings and being a part of someones special day is just amazing!

Are you based in Broome

Yes, I've lived here for the last 7 years with my beautiful children and know the region well.

What other services can you provide?

We specialise in high quality drone services and can include a second videographer upon request. We also work with a local sand artist who can rake amazing images on the sand for your ceremony or photo shoot.

What regions do you service?

I am based in Broome but am excited to travel to destination or adventure weddings.

Can I get a Pre-wedding consultation?

I'd love to meet with you to talk about what you would like, even if you're not really sure yet.

On the phone or Skype is fine if you prefer.

I feel that it's very important that you are in tune with the people invoived in your wedding, so that you feel as confident and comfortable on the day as possible. I'm happy to have a chat or get coffee to say hello.

Matt recently recorded our wedding in Broome and did a fantastic job. We loved his relaxed approach during the day and he made everyone feel comfortable whilst filming. He was quick to show us copies of the video, easy to communicate with and most importantly he listened to our suggestions and edit requests. We highly recommend Boab UAS if you are thinking of having a videographer on your special day. We eloped! Best decision we ever made! Matthew was absolutely amazing! Our special Broome beach wedding was captured forever with Matthews amazing videoing. We didn’t even know he was filming us that’s how good he was. We were able to share our amazing video with family and friends which made it even more special. What is your favourite aspect of the wedding video?

Is it the walking down the aisle? The dancing at the end of the night? Something else?

This is such a difficult question to answer! I love so many different parts of a wedding! I love the nervous emotion of the preparations, the intensity and emotion of the ceremony, the photo/video shoot because it's artistically free and usually quite candid then the reception because it's a release of emotion and a chance for everyone to let their hair down!

What are the different styles of wedding video?

I think there are as many styles as there are weddings...

A good videographer is very adaptable and can show you what you want to see. Do you want an elegant style, or lots of action or humour, classic, documentary, it's all in there and if you ask the right videographer they'll give you that in your video. Watch a few wedding videos, I'm sure you'll quickly understand what kind of a style resonates with you!

Can I choose my own music for my wedding video?

Yes, definitely! Music is a big part of a video and it's important that the music is very personal to you. We provide a royalty free preview verison of your video for you to share on social media.
