MsBlue Wren, located near Mudgee airport and five minutes from the heart of the township, has a range of unique spaces to act as the ultimate backdrop to your special day. From our intimate ceremony garden, to our glorious 18 acre vineyard and onwards to the fairy tale like Wisteria Hall, this country property has it all.
For grand celebrations, spoil your guests with a gastronomic feast, toast to everlasting love with the finest regional wines all whilst basking under the warmth of glowing chandeliers and one million dangling flowers in our much loved Wisteria Hall.
Blue Wren’s luxe event spaces also cater for small intimate gatherings, eloping couples and vow renewals, in idyllic spaces such as the Cellar Lounge and Garden.
Wedding and event packages are tailored to each couple and include access to our highly qualified wedding planner who can connect you with the best local suppliers.
And as though that weren’t enough, one of the best reasons to celebrate at Blue Wren is the ability to have everything at one location - including accommodation. The Farmhouse blends a taste of the country with 5-star luxury. As well as sleeping 10 guests, it can also be used to host a post wedding sparkling brunch!

My name is Matty and I'll be your first point of contact here at the Blue Wren. We have a small team of awesome humans who can't wait to meet you, planning a wedding can be a little daunting so I'm here to make it as easy as possible for you.

Yes, you can reserve a booking date without any obligation. We usually hold this booking in our system for 2 weeks. If we receive another inquiry for the date you are holding we shall contact you, giving you first option on the date.
Bookings are confirmed by payment of a deposit together with a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions.
Progress payments are made up to the month before the wedding, where final payment is made.
Payment by cash, cheque, internet are all fine. Visa and Mastercards attract a 2% commission, Amex 3%.
Final guest numbers and payment must be made 31 days before the wedding.
There is a midnight curfew, at which stage music and beverage service must end.
Yes, by negotiation with us. Time extensions are charged per hour per person. This covers venue hire and full beverage service.
Yes, we offer very affordable upgrade wines, sparkling wines, beers etc. plus special cocktails, spirits, etc. Spirits such as scotch can be supplied on a per bottle basis, which is more affordable than by the drink.
The premises are fully licensed and liquor is supplied by the Blue Wren Wines. In certain instances you may be permitted to supply alcohol for a nominal corkage charge to cover service and overheads.
Of course, although the beverage packages are very attractively priced.
Yes, guests can wait in the Ceremony Gardens before entering the Wisteria Room (immediately next door). If required and by mutual consent, Blue Wren can offer a cash bar or bar tab for early arrivals.
The Farmhouse is 400 metres from the Ceremony Gardens and Wisteria Hall, which makes it easy for you to pop down and check on layout at any time. It sleeps 10 over five rooms with pool, wraparound verandahs, kitchen facilities.
Most have the bridal party join them the night before, dress and photography on the day and stay alone the wedding night (unless the partying continues!). Have a pre or post wedding meal here with family.
Plenty of parking! Most take the opportunity to run buses to pickup guests at various Mudgee accommodation to drop off and pickup, making it easier for your guests join the ceremony and festivities.

You may, although all key staff are fulltime employed, running the restaurant as well. We don’t just hire chef’s per event. They understand the venue, equipment and meal selections you make and reproduce flawlessly.
All professional suppliers are welcome. We can also refer excellent decorators to you.
No, we can refer you to excellent cake suppliers.

HI All My partner and I are considering getting married on Monday 5/10/20, which is Labour Day in the ACT and NSW. We were wondering if the venue hire would be increased, or if vendors would increase their fees? I understand that many may just charge the weekend rate, which is fine, but I'm just checking. Thanks!

Depending on how you would like to incorperate your guests birthday, there is no reason why not! You could always consider a birthday cake and present corner for them? Not forgettng a birthday song too! Please feel free to contact the venue direct with any ideas or questions!
