If you’ve always envisioned a breathtaking country wedding for yourself, complete with rolling hills, rocky vistas, old oak trees, and burbling creeks, then Dalmore Farm will be a dream come true. This historic, farm wedding venue is set on more than 250 acres of diverse land, offering complete tranquillity on your wedding day. More than that, it allows for some incredibly beautiful sights - both natural and man-made.
While the velvety Blackwood River Valley hills are certainly stars of the show, the newly-restored old buildings and historical sites are positively stunning, too. In particular, the Shearing Shed is divine, with owners Danny and Emilie completely making over this space for their own wedding.
The beautifully renovated Shearing Shed provides “modern convenience without losing antiquated charm”. Complete with hardwood floors, festoon lighting, cream-white walls with wooden features, and a series of bespoke ceiling fans - it’s a great fit for rustic weddings, country themes, and elegant occasions alike. Ceremonies, on the other hand, are either held in the flowery canopy of the pear orchard or in the back paddock - below majestic gum trees and surrounded by granite boulders.
Situated just 15 minutes from Bridgetown, WA, this BYO wedding venue is the perfect place to say ‘I do’ and take in a beautiful Australian landscape.

About
Hi! We are Danny and Emilie Abbiss. Dalmore has been our home for over twenty years and it has been an honour to care for this very special place. We live here on the farm with our 3 boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 9 horses, 2 goats, 2 pigs... It's a long list! As we have built our family, with all of its two and four-legged members, over the years, we have felt a strong pull to share Dalmore with others. We would absolutely love to show you around and we invite you to create your own Dalmore dreams.

Our Destination Package
This package is for couples who want a completely stress-free wedding experience. With a comprehensive planning and coordination service, this package has all your styling needs covered. We work with you to create your ideal wedding experience- it is 100% collaborative- you tell us what your style goals are and we make them a reality! With all of your planning, set up, break down and clean up taken care of, you can kick back and enjoy making lifelong memories.
We provide all of our couples with an extensive list of recommended regional vendors when they book with Dalmore. We are always happy to assist in arranging services beyond the above inclusions as a part of an extended planning service. Catering, celebrant, entertainment, photographer, videographer, glamping, bus service for guests and wedding cake can all be arranged by Dalmore's planning team upon request.
Package quotes are provided on a bespoke basis- customised quotes are created for each couple dependent on the type of reception desired and couple's wish list.
Venue Dry Hire Package
Our "Dry Hire" package is for couples who are already working with their perfect planner or those who want to take on the challenges of planning their celebration themselves but still benefit from an "on-the-day" coordinator.

FAQ
We offer fully styled ceremony and reception (seated & cocktail) packages inclusive of florals, facility use, all styling and set up, furniture, staff/bartending, accommodation- basically everything a venue needs except your food and alcohol. We have a list of awesome preferred vendors that we provide to couples when they book with us to make their planning easier. We are happy to arrange catering packages for couples based out of state or overseas- or just those who want a bit of a hand!
We can also assist couples in arranging their celebrant/ entertainment/ photographer and cake... We have some wonderful locally based vendors here in the SW and can help couples in arranging whatever services they require.
We are far enough out of town for it to feel like you are the only people in the world but close enough to make your celebration convenient for your guests. We're about 15 kilometres out of town. We work with a superb bus service who can safely transport all of your guests to and from Dalmore so that they don't have to drive. Bridgetown has a great many beautiful accommodation options on offer and we provide our couple with a printout of "Great Places to Stay" that they can pass along to family and friends.

We happen to have a great many photogenic animals here at Dalmore and they absolutely love the chance to pose with you. Except for the geese... The geese hate everybody. Our ducks, horses, goats, pigs and dogs are lovely though and just as beautiful!

Dalmore Farm
It is always possible for couples to find wedding venues to suit their budgets- the important thing is to be realistic about what your budget will achieve and recognise when your wish list exceeds your reality (which can be hard!). At Dalmore, a $15,000.00 all-in budget would not be sufficient to cover a wedding of 100 people but there are other venues that would certainly suit such a budget. Additionally, while Dalmore is an elegant country estate, it is a heritage-listed coutry estate- and would not suit couples who are looking for a very modern aesthetic or an urban vibe.
What happens if Covid forces lockdown on the week of our wedding?

This is such a huge anxiety for so many of our couples these days. At Dalmore, we are doing everything we can to assist you in planning your wedding with confidence. If there does happen to be a lockdown enforced during the week of your wedding, we will help you in rescheduling everything for a later date. Should we be unable to find an appropriate later date, we will refund your venue deposit. Weddings are a serious financial commitment for most couples and we understand how devastating losing a venue deposit can be. We want you to be able to book your event at Dalmore with confidence.
