Coogee Beach Functions & Event Venue is one of the most picturesque waterfront wedding venues on the Indian Ocean. Located on the waters' edge overlooking Cockburn Sound with magnificent 180-degree ocean views, friendly service and fabulous food. With a dedicated & experienced Event Manager & the possibility to host up to 600 guests, it's the perfect location for your romantic waterfront wedding.

Coogee Beach Functions & Event Venue has four areas available for hire with a selection of seated and cocktail menu packages. If you choose to host both your wedding ceremony and reception with us you will receive: a dedicated wedding planner, venue choice, customised room layout and all necessary tables, chairs, linen and crockery.

Coogee Beach Functions & Event Venue offers four unique waterfront wedding venue options:

The Balcony. Offering 180-degree ocean views, it is the prime location for cocktail style weddings or pre-dinner drinks. Caters up to 300 standing or 130 seated and can be used in conjunction with the main function area or hired out on its own.
Daryll Smith Function Room. Best suited for seated dinners with its spacious area complete with a wooden dance-floor, generous balcony and grassed courtyard. Cater up to 300 standing or 150 seated.
Ken Hodgkinson Room. Provides spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and is a second option for cocktail style weddings. Caters up to 60 standing or 40 seated.
Grassed Area. Ideal for a marquee styled reception or pre-dinner canapes before entering the function room. Caters up to 150 standing.

Most couples choose to marry on the balcony and follow with a cocktail-style reception on the balcony or seated dinner in the Daryll Smith room. Once you've chosen your ideal space for your Coogee Beach wedding, our friendly team will take you through our various catering packages available.

FAQ

What happens if it rains of my wedding day?

Not to worry! We will bring your ceremony inside to an available space we have on the day. The space will be allocated by the Venue and cannot be reserved in advance. We require 2 hours’ notice from you in which your decision is final.

Are rose petals or confetti allowed at my ceremony?

Rose petals (fresh, dried or silk) are not permitted but you are welcome to celebrate with bubbles.

Do you have a bridal suite I can prepare in?

No, but you can contact the caravan parks either side of the venue.

Jasmine was by far the best venue coordinator we could have ever asked for. From initial catering options, right till you finish your reception Jasmine will be there with you for all your wedding day needs. She is super reliable to work with and will send you any information you require for you day. She was super flexible when it came to changing things up as well as making sure she gave you exactly what you wanted for the day and making sure it all worked cohesively with all other vendors that need to coordinate with the venue to make your big day run as smoothly as possible. Thank you Jasmine for all you and your team dis for us to make our dreams become reality.

Coogee Beach Function Centre was the perfect location for our Wedding. Every part of our Wedding, right from the planning stages until the end of the reception flowed perfectly. We can’t thank Roi enough for how she coordinated everything and guided us through all the aspects of planning our wedding. Her professionalism and accessibility to answer even the smallest of queries helped to ease our minds. The abundance of helpful information and recommended suppliers was a Godsend. The food was absolutely delicious and chef’s ability to provide special dietary requirements was commendable. The location was so beautiful as we had our Ceremony on the balcony overlooking the ocean, followed by the reception in the function room. All stunningly styled by Mariana from The Wedding Place. We highly recommend Coogee Beach Function Centre for your special day.

Coogee has breathtaking views of the beach and ocean from their balcony which made it an easy choice for us to choose them as our venue. They were more than accomodating to our needs and the day ran so smoothly because of their wonderful staff.
