Buttai Barn offers the perfect venue for your wedding. The sky is the limit and we can customise our options to suit your wish list and budget.We offer a range of affordable packages and aim to give you the wedding of your dreams, without the typical wedding price tag.
Conveniently located a half hour from Newcastle, and only 5 minutes from the end of the M1 Freeway, our location is secluded, completely private and yet still close and easily accessed.
You may choose to hold only your ceremony on our premises with both outdoor and indoor options. Alternatively, you can have the ceremony, photos and reception right here, meaning no travelling for you or your guests throughout the day once you arrive.
Built back in 1982, Buttai Barn is an old fashioned barn that exudes both character and history. Our team have many years of experience and will work personally with you to create your ideal wedding package. We are here to make the process easy for our brides and grooms and their families. At Buttai Barn, we offer an amazing venue for all types of weddings, regardless of gender and we proudly support marriage equality.

Marilyn & Garry built The Barn and Stables in 1982. It has always been a labour of love and they take great joy and care in seeing people enjoy their experience at Buttai Barn. Locals born and bred they truly take the time to understand what each lovely couple want and ensure they themselves are there with their team to make everything seamless on your special day. They are down to earth, easy to talk to and enjoy the tranquility that nature brings.

No - Buttai Barn will supply the food and beverages.
You can choose from 2 or 3 Courses plus canapes, Banquet, cocktail style and grazing table.
Our beverage packages can include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options plus tea and coffee.
No - Buttai Barn has a variety of decorative options available that we put up and take down.
You are welcome to supply table decorations but no outside decorators allowed.
No - beverage packages do not have to be purchase as part of the wedding package.
Beverages can be purchased from the bar on the night.
No - there are numerous areas to gather and mingle with your loved ones, however there is no lounge area.
