I have always had a passion for organising events, in particular weddings. I love seeing happy couples on their special day and being apart of making their wedding day run smoothly! I am a local on the Central Coast and absolutely love our Wedding Venue at Mercure Kooindah Waters and want to share this hidden gem with all couples that are thinking of getting married.

Yes we certainly do!
We have a wide range of accommodation options to suit you and your guests. Choose between studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments that are all within walking distance of the ceremony and reception.
Make sure you ask our Wedding Coordinator about accommodation options as there may be discounts applied when booking directly with our resort.
Yes you sure can!
We have had many weddings with special fur babies present on the day. They can be with you during your ceremony and we even have pet friendly accommodation where they can stay with you before and after your wedding day.

Kooindah Waters is a wedding venue that knows how to handle wet weather at a wedding.
If it is raining when your ceremony is scheduled to take place, we have a back-up plan for you. Our staff can move the ceremony indoors for a beautiful ceremony with everything you would see for an outdoor ceremony. Nothing is spared when making sure your ceremony goes ahead and to plan as scheduled.

Hi, I have all of my family and relatives flying in to Australia and it's so strange for a wedding to end by 12am. All venues I've looked at in Sydney are mostly 5pm-11pm hire. Any venues within NSW where we can party with music until at least 3am?
Do I need security at my venue?
Do most venues provide this or do I need to look around? I don't know if I need it, but we have a large group (210) so I wanted to know if that means I need it? Also what is the ratio of security to guests?

Hello,
We generally don't require security at our venue for a wedding, however if by personal choice you would be more comfortable having them we can arrange for a quote or you can source a company yourself to book.

Two hours gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception.. is this acceptable?

Yes, this is acceptable provided you have advised them of a place to mingle and have a few drinks while you are off taking photos etc. At Mercure Kooindah Waters we have a prefect venue for this where the guest can retreat to the bar for a cool drink and a comfortable seat while they are waiting for the reception to commence.
