About
Sue Jarvis is a contemporary artist who was born and raised in the industrial and now multicultural city of Greater Dandenong in Melbourne’s south east. Sue was a major prizewinner at the Dandenong Festival of Music and Art for Youth, and went on to become an Art Teacher, Artist and Photographer. Sue purchased the Gembrook property in the 1970's when it was a barren field used for cattle grazing. Together with her husband they planted the gardens and are now opening the gardens for weddings.

The ceremony space is all outdoors however should it rain you are all welcome to continue with the ceremony in the art gallery. If the weather is notorious for rain during the time you are planning your wedding you should consider hiring a marquee for the day.
Your Dad is going to be so pleased that he can drive right up to the celebrant and drop you off infront of all the guests. When you come out to inspect the gardens we can discuss the best location for you and the car. Have a look at the website for photos of previous cars that our wedding parties have arrived in.
Yes we are and look forward to having your wedding here. As we are privately owned you have a quiet location for you and your guests in total privacy.
Sorry we dont. We can recommend a company in which hires chairs and other decorations but as each wedding is unique we understand that everyone has their own ideas on what they want so do not provide anything other than the beautiful gardens.
Our gardens are for the ceremony or photo shoots we do not have a venue suitable for catering to groups over 20 people, however we are close to a number of reception venues in Gembrook and can recommend The Independent for your catering needs.
Yes well trained animals are welcome provided they are on a leash and someone is committed to looking after them for you while you are saying your 'I do's'.

HI All My partner and I are considering getting married on Monday 5/10/20, which is Labour Day in the ACT and NSW. We were wondering if the venue hire would be increased, or if vendors would increase their fees? I understand that many may just charge the weekend rate, which is fine, but I'm just checking. Thanks!
Low key wedding venues in Melbourne area? 40 people!
In melboure- City, Yarra valley, dandenongs: we are looking for somewhere to host our intimate wedding ceremony and lunch after. our vision is to have an intimate low key ceremony with family approx 40 guests on beautiful grounds, then a lunch to follow preferably private dining but doesn't have to be. The venue doesn't have to be exclusively booked by us either. Any Suggestions?
