OVERVIEW

Located at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Chateau Wyuna offers everything you will need for your wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception.

Chateau Wyuna is a truly unique, award winning reception centre built around a rustic 1920s log cabin and featuring a 1909 heritage listed country Chapel.

For ceremonies you can use the Chapel or one of our two enchanting outdoor ceremony areas - our delightful pergola lawn or waterfall garden.

For your reception you can choose from a flexible range of all inclusive packages for between 40 and 150 guests.  Each package can be tailored to ensure you have exactly the wedding celebration you have always wanted.  They include formal sit down or elegant cocktail options.

While you have exclusive use of the entire venue (as we only host one event at a time) you also have a choice of reception rooms.  The larger Burgundy Room can seat up to 150 guests and has a warm timber, cosy feeling with a large dance floor, fairy lights on the ceiling and plenty of character. The smaller Treetop Room has panoramic views from the large windows and wrap around balcony.  Able to seat up to 80 guests, it is perfect for those who want a smaller, more intimate affair.

For photographs we have over 6 acres of beautiful gardens and meandering paths, as well as the historic log cabin with its open fire – which is also offered as a bridal retreat and is a great alternative for photos if the weather is not great!

Our menus are extensive and focus on delicious, comfort-style food, presented beautifully, with very generous portion sizes.

And your guests can stay in accommodation immediately next door.

We look forward to welcoming you to Chateau Wyuna.

FAQ

Chateau Wyuna has two reception rooms for you to choose from, BUT WE ONLY HOST ONE WEDDING AT A TIME.  The Treetop Room can comfortably seat up to 80 guests, while the larger Burgundy Room can seat up to 150.  Both rooms have outdoor terraces and lovely garden outlooks.

Outdoors you can select from the waterfall garden or the pergola lawn (which has some extra decorative options available including draping).  Indoor options include our cute country style Chapel which can accommodate up to 110 guests, while larger weddings are welcome to use the Treetop Room for their ceremony.

We offer all inclusive packages of several types including the most popular which have traditional sit down meals and shared table platter dining, as well as cocktail buffets and central 'self serve' style buffets.  All can be customised to suit your specific requirements.

We are offering a free upgrade to our Deluxe Package if you hold your wedding within six months of booking on a Friday / Saturday / Sunday evening. Your choice of three extra inclusions and a $200 DJ voucher are also available for bookings at any time for sit down meal style receptions.

There is a forty room motel immediately next door within easy walking distance.

Definitely not.  We only host one wedding at a time.

The team at Chateau Wyuna were amazing from the initial consult up to the wedding. The staff there could not do enough for me, and worked with me to make my dream a reality. We chose the delux package which included upgraded drinks, the use of their DJ (Keegan- who was amazing and kept my group on the dancefloor until the end!), a ride home and more. The package was really great value for money! And the food - wow!! Absolutely delicious! The grounds are stunning, there were so many opportunities for photos and my photographer had a ball snapping us! Honestly, we could not have been happier with how our day turned out! We did not feel stressed at all on the day and would highly recommend this venue to any bride planning their day!

From our very first visit to inspect the venue we found Andrew obliging, professional, friendly and helpful. We chose the waterfall as a setting for our ceremony. Everything was perfect. Several of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The food was plentiful and excellent, the setting beautiful, the service friendly and efficient, our every wish and request was met. Nothing was too much trouble. Very happy with every aspect of planning, communication and execution. Andrew was our MC and the evening ran smoothly. Highly recommend Chateau Wyuna

AMAZING..AMAZING..AMAZING Planning a wedding is stressful enough. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is an absolute head doer, especially if you have horror stories with your vendors like some brides did. that was not the case with Chateau Wyuna. They were super flexible and relaxed with their guest limit and date change. The process was seamless and stress free leading up to the big day. On the day, our wedding coordinator was super helpful, organised and we were looked after. The food was amazing, the price was very very affordable with a lot of inclusion and the venue is absolutely stunning. I could not fault it. We had the best day of our lives!

Right from the start we felt like we were in really safe hands and that the staff cared about making our day special. The venue is absolutely beautiful and we are so stoked with the photos we took there. Andrew and Cathy put us at ease straight away and were so accommodating and flexible with everything, and honest and upfront which we really appreciated. We both feel like they do this for the love of it and that really shines through. The food was awesome, we got really great feedback from our guests. The tuscan vegetables were a surprise hit! So yummy, we could not fault it at all. The service was great and our coordinator was also lovely, and very happy to be flexible and work with our coordinator on the day which we really appreciated. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we thank Chateau Wyuna very very much for all their support.

February 2024

With covid foiling our plans in 2021, Andrew and the team were so accommodating to ensure my husband and I were still able to celebrate our special day the way we envisioned. Every step of the way we were supported and even with so many questions asked, Cathy/ Andrew were always happy to answer my questions. We also had on the day support from Cathy who helped in ensuring the entire day ran smoothly from beginning to end. Our guests had commented on the beauty and the wonderful atmosphere of the venue and the night itself. If I could score higher I would, the night was wonderful and it was everything we had envisioned and so much more! Thank you so much to the entire team at Chateau Wyuna for making our special day even more special. Compliments also to the chef for the delicious foods! We had opted for the Melba package and used the chapel for the ceremony.

All-in-one wedding venues - I NEED HELP!

I recently got engaged and am looking and a bunch of different options for venues at the moment. I've come across a few "all-in-one" wedding venues, which sounds really appealing in one sense because this would mean I don't have to worry about sourcing catering, decor, venue hire etc., which means I'd have more time to enjoy being engaged and not stress about all the suppliers I'd need to find - but how does this actually work? Are venues flexible with style and what we want or is it mostly like "this is what we have, take it or leave it"? I'm also wondering how we make our wedding unique if we're just going with one of these venues that a bunch of other couples have used - I know it's silly but I would kinda be crushed if someone had the exact same wedding day (as in like copy/pasted event) as me. How do venues mix thing up to make your day unique to you? Sorry... lots of questions in one go... PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!! - An already stressed out bride-to-be xx

Chateau Wyuna

Hi, our "all in one" venue provides lots of options to personalise your wedding the way you want it.  We allow you to bring things onsite to make it trully yours or you can use a selection of centrepieces and decorations that we provide in the package.  Some venues also offer different coloured linen, charger plates, more elaborate centrepieces plus lots more.  Don't worry, although there might have been brides who have had a reception set the same as yours, none of your guests will know this and in fact you won't either.  Hope that helps.

Emma

Should I be asking every vendor I inquire with if they are same-sex friendly?

I saw a horror story on reddit about a venue.. so I am now worried.

Chateau Wyuna

It is absolutely your right to ask, if of course that is important to you. If you then receive an unfavourable response you can at least make further decisions on a more well informed basis.

David J H

Is an on-site venue coordinator usually included in venue packages?

Chateau Wyuna

Absolutely - this is critical. The coordinator should also be the person who conducts your planning meeting ideally 6 to 8 weeks before your big day, as this ensures they will understand the intricacies of your day and get to know you as a couple. You do not want the first time you meet your coordinator to be on your wedding day!
