Kelly graduated from the University of Adelaide with a winemaking degree, and since then has won the Wine Society ‘Young Winemaker of the Year’ award and was Dux of the Australian Wine Research Institute’s Advanced Wine Assessment Course. Dedicated function team. The team at Thorn-Clarke Wines will happily help you through the wedding planning process, ensuring you have a stress-free experience. From organising caterer arrival times to helping you work through logistics, the dedicated events team will help you design the wedding of your dreams.
Wine tastings. If you’re wanting to try some of the family’s delicious wines before your wedding day, then you’re more than welcome to invite your friends and family to a wine tasting. With a booking, Thorn-Clarke Wines are more than happy to accommodate this experience. Now, down to the important stuff: red or white?
Family business. The Thorn-Clarke family have been making tasty wine since 2001, but this family are actually sixth generation grape growers/viticulturists! Today, the Clarke family is one of the Barossa’s largest grape growers and winemakers, with 240 hectares of vineyard spread across four sites in the Barossa and Eden Valleys.

Thorn-Clarke Wines was THE most perfect venue for our wedding. After our first viewing, we fell in love - the venue speaks for itself! We were initially shown around by Brooke who was lovely and informative for their offerings and packages, and willing to help with any enquiries. We then dealt with the Events Manager Sharyn who was incredibly devoted, supportive and so knowledgeable to help us plan forward and sort everything out for the day. The most incredible support to us for our wedding day, honestly everything and more we could have asked for at our venue! It has the most spectacular view and what we loved the most was the flexibility with such a large outdoor area and the space we had to really create and tailor our day to exactly how we wanted. Thank you Thorn-Clarke, and we look forward to sharing our anniversaries here!

Sharyn (Thorn Clarke Wine Cellar Door Manager) was an absolute legend throughout our entire wedding process. Nothing was too hard despite us organising our wedding from interstate & it being on Easter. Her attention to detail was spot on & our night was SO amazing. Thorn Clarke’s speculator garden didn't need any decorations, but we bought in Milos from (Bulb Lighting) to enhance the beautiful garden & light up the wooden barrels & picnic tables. Sharyn & Milos arranged a video call & can NOT fault their work, creating an orange ambiance. Perrie Thomas Photography duo were amazing, blending easily into the wedding party creating some natural & jaw dropping, evening photos. Shakermaker Foods (Josh & Jenna) had to pick our menu for us as we couldn’t decide because EVERYTHING on the menu looked delicious. Guests commented all night on their variety of meals & the taste!

Wondering if there are surcharges for weddings on special dates like this. We're thinking of a NYE wedding.

Not necessarily. Any surcharges are going to be around your numbers on site more so than the "special" date.
