Hotel Kurrajong Canberra first opened its doors in 1926 and was the home to Prime Minister Ben Chifley throughout his political career, up until he passed away in 1951. Hotel Kurrajong Canberra continues to hold onto this heritage by sharing the history during guided tours and by reflecting the hotels' roots through its beautiful art-deco decor. The hotel is also proud keepers of books and artwork from the city's political history and leaders.

Parking is limited and subject to availability. The hotel has approximately 90 parking spaces which can not be pre-booked. There is street parking as an alternative to the Hotel.
Yes, all of our Wedding Packages include one night accomodation in our Wedding Suite overlooking our courtyard, plus breakfast for two.
Hotel Kurrajong has 147 accomodation rooms. We offer both king and twin rooms at a discounted rate for our Weddings. Rates start from $169.00 per room (subject to availability, terms and conditions). Group blocks are also available for large numbers.
Executive Chef Saju offers exclusive and unique menu tastings for all couples for seated Receptions - this is also an oppurtunity to tailor menus to your needs.
Yes, our beverage packages can be extended beyond the allocated inclusion for $20.00 per person, per hour (subject to terms and conditions)
Hotel Kurrajong includes Tiffany chairs in your choice of colour for the seated Wedding Reception as part of our existing packages. Any additional decorations and/or furniture can be arranged by our preferred supplier or a stylist of your choice.
