With 12 years experience in the hospitality industry and 7+ years in events, I have organised my fair share of events but it wasn't until 3 years ago when we opened Aunty Kim's that I started in weddings, and I have never looked back! My speciality is finding ways to bring unique elements of a couple's story into their wedding day and re-imagining what's possible. Whether it's an oyster bar, a bespoke cocktail named after the bride's mum or a dragon dance, I want to hear about it!

We have one wireless microphone for MC/Speeches, and a projector and pull down screen which is perfect for videos, pictures or so you can dial in to your friends/family from overseas.
Typically, most couples create a selection of Spotify playlists (one for arrival canapés, one for dinner and one for the after-party dancing), and share it with us before your wedding. We will seamlessly transition between your playlists from there. Alternatively, we are DJ-friendly and allow live music. If you are after a DJ recommendation we are more than happy to help!
Absolutely, Aunty Kim's offers kids menus so there is no need to count them as an adult, leaving more room in your budget for other things.
Nope! Aunty Kim's operates on a minimum spend basis, meaning you will be be provided with a minimum amount to contribute towards food and beverage, which is based on the time of year, day of the week and time of day.
Absolutely, we are a very popular choice for smaller groups of 20-40 people where you may utilise one side of our space as a ceremony area and afterwards, we pull back our full length theatre silver curtains to reveal your elegant reception space! This is one of our most-sought after wedding styles.
We charge a one-off wedding coordinator fee of $200 to allow us the time we need to spend with you to make your wedding an event that's unique to you. You will be designated one of our team to work with you from 3 months out to arrange all the details of your day, make recommendations and ensure everything is exactly as you'd imagined. Your wedding coordinator will be there when you arrive at the venue, so that you have a friendly face on the day and can relax, knowing that we've got everything under control!
