We have a lot of family drama, a lot of different people trying to take over and be in control and so my partner and I have decided to throw a surprise wedding because we still do really want all the people we love there (rather than eloping). We have already had an engagement party, so we can't pull that trick.. can you give me some advice/options on pulling off the perfect surprise wedding
Is it worthwhile getting a planner?
Is it necessary or can I do most of the work with my partner? What are the features and benefits of doing so or is it simply easier and less stressful?

hi Lizzie, as a wedding planner I would say yes and as a past bride I would say yes. You cannot underestimate just how hard a planner works for you. Even if you have things under control just having someone that is a friend or family member there is well worth it. The planner is your go to person. My main aim is to makey bride extremely happy by executing the wedding day plans to perfection. You will enjoy your planning and day so much more just knowing your planner is by your side
Having a wedding on a weekday
We are having a Jewish wedding and as such are very limited to the days that we can hold the ceremony. I really don't like having it on a Sunday night so was planning to do it on the day before Australia Day so that everyone has the next day off. However, as the wedding will take place on a workday, how early is too eary to ask people to attend? P.S. sorry the category is so arbitrary. Had to just choose the least unrelated ??

A weekday wedding is very achievable. Just remember that your guests may need to take sometime off work. A gorgeous sunset wedding would be amazing for you. Being January it can be extremely hot, so keep in mind the weather. A 5pm wedding that would lead directly into pre dinner drinks and canapes and then the reception. This will allow for beautiful photos and smooth flow of your wedding day events.
