About

My love for planning events begun way back in the late 90’s when my family started a business in the event hire industry. A life filled with planning and designing events for parties, weddings and engagements begun! I took my knowledge and passion to the next level and completed my degree in Event Management. This experience coupled with my love for nature and helping people share their story makes working with me a truly heart filled unique experience.

Why would I pay for a Wedding Planner?

The simple answer to this is to eliviate stress. Planning a wedding is time consuming and can be stress filled. Hiring a wedding planner doesn't mean you will loose all choice over your big day. You can still take charge with any element of your day. It's your day after all. Hiring me will simply mean you have someone to bounce ideas off and someone else to take over when it all get's too much. Most importantly someone to make sure your plans on the day come together just how you dreamed. Spend your day being pampered and treated like a princess rather than running around like headless chook making sure every last details is just right.

Appalling lack of care, attention to detail and professionalism. Corners cut everywhere. Melanie did not deliver on relatively simple on-the-day tasks which she had assured us she would take care of. (The biggest one was setting up our playlist so that we could actually have music at our reception! We had nothing but dead silence for two hours until I got the opportunity to sort it myself.) She and her 'team' were rude, sarcastic and dismissive to me, my husband, our other suppliers, and the family and friends she requested we recruit to help with setup. And more. We attempted to contact Melanie expressing how completely devastated we were and asking for an explanation for the appalling service and attitude. There has been no acknowledgement of the stress and hurt caused, no accountability, first a denial that anything went wrong, then a generic 'thank you for this feedback'. We're devastated.

Mel absolutely made our day so simple! She really was the silent bridesmaid on the day making sure everything went super smoothly ( and it did!!!) She fielded all my anxiety ridden calls and emails leading up to the day and handled all my vendors perfectly, I didn’t have a single issue on the day that I needed to look after, she was so organised and even made me an emergency kit, which was used a few times on the night, she made some amazing recommendations for vendors she trusted, and really saw the vision we had for the day. I don’t think the Wedding wouldn’t have gone anywhere near as perfectly if she was not there. She was super affordable, I could not recommend her enough!!

Which suppliers need to come to the wedding rehearsal?

What needs to be rehearsed at the rehearsal dinner? Do suppliers get involved or is it mainly for the wedding party?

Socially Styled Events

Generally the celebrant and your bridal party will be at the rehersal. However as a coordinator this time is a great opportunity to run through all the little details of the day and make sure the couple are happy. It will also give the coordinator a chance to view the venue and be given a brief of the overall vision. It can be a great chance to meet in a more relaxed setting prior to the day.

What to do with our seating chart if some guests have cancelled?

Hi, I’ve had a beautiful seating chart made and now, some of the guests have let us know they can’t come. What do people normally do in this situation? Leave the sign as it is even though it’s wrong, or somehow cross guests off? Or do people pay for a new sign!?

At the moment with constant border closure changes and lockdowns planning your seating chart is harder than ever!! I have had some couples choose to purchase a new sign as there have been too many changes and some tables are left half bare. However if there are only a couple of small changes you could stick a white label over the missing names or simply leave it as is and share a correct seating chart with your wedding planner to ensure the place card names are in the right position. SO long as guests aren't being moved to another table this will not be a problem at all. Hope this help a little.

What does an on-the-day wedding coordinator do?

Hi there. We were wondering if it's worth getting a wedding planner just to help us just on our wedding day, kind of take care of the small details and keep stress levels down. Is that what an on-the-day coordinator does? Thanks.

Of courseas a wedding coordinator we are all going to say it is absoloutely worth having us there on the day. Think about it more from the perspective of what would you do if you didn't have an on the day coordinator? Do you really want dear Aunty Flo to be responsible for making sure all the place cards are where they should be or would you rather she was socialising with the family. Do you really think your brother can manage all of the transport arrangements or would you rather he was able to relax with a beer or two and enjoy his sisters big day. When you employ an on the day coordinator you are not just getting an organised person who will connect with all of your vendors prior to the big day to make sure all is as it should be. you are getting a behind the scenes bestie, someone to calm your nerves before walking down the aisle, someone who you can turn to if you are feeling flustered knowing that they will present you with a friend;y, understanding, calm and well thought out response. An on the day coordinator is so much more for you as a couple than a person who makes sure place cards are where they should be. We are there for you in every way we can be. We want to see you start your marriage without the stress of your wedding.
