Having worked in the hospitality industry, specifically weddings and events for the last 17 years, I discovered my love of all things weddings very early in my career. Do I really need a Planner?

Planning a wedding can be stressful as there are many elements to consider. While some couples enjoy doing a lot of the planning themselves, planning a wedding on top of everyday life can feel overwhelming. A Wedding Planner is your secret weapon as they have all the experience and knowledge in planning weddings and can help keep you on top of everything. They can be with you from your engagement all the way to your big day to ensure your vision comes to life. They are there to give advice and to guide you through this experience. Planners can step in at any time you need help, this can be as late as even 1 month before.

I have a Venue Coordinator, is that the same as a Planner?

The biggest misconception is that a Venue Coordinator is the same as a Planner. A Venue Coordinator works for the venue and not for the couple. Their level of interaction is limited within the venue and they often won’t or can’t help with planning outside of the venue.

I’ve asked friends and family to help, that’s the same as having a Planner, right?

We know that your friends and family are more than happy to help but sometimes it can feel like a burden. Most importantly you want your family and friends to enjoy your day with you! Having a Planner is the key to relieve you, your friends and family from the stress of the wedding day and to spend the day celebrating in style instead!

How early should I get a Planner on board?

You can contact a Planner from the moment you get engaged right up until 1 month before. If you and your partner are wanting to do the majority of planning yourselves, you should still aim to get your Planner on board 3 months before. This will ensure that you’re on track leading up to your big day and to give you the peace of mind that everything will be perfect.

Do you charge for an initial consultation?

Your first consultation with us at M’s Events is complimentary. It’s our way for us to get to know you and your way to see just how we can help make your day magical.
