From the moment Oscar took up photography as a career in 2009, he has continually pushed himself to master everything that makes a top level photographer, even if the path he has taken was not a conventional one. This is, however, part of what makes him unique. With each branch of photography Oscar has delved into, he has added many quivers to his proverbial bow and enhanced his approach to all the complex aspects of photographing your wedding.
Starting as a cadet photojournalist to assisting fashion and commercial photographers and travelling around the country to photograph corporate portraits and events, then beginning his own business taking stylized headshots, photographing events and now weddings- with such wide experience, Oscar is not as much a jack of all trades but a specialist in the areas of photography he most enjoys.

Wooooohooo!! You just got engaged and you just can't wait to plan a big, expensive wedding; you're in love and in a hurry... (and I like short notice, it keeps things interesting!). You just want to get married on the DL but still have a fun, cute/romantic -always stylish- and importantly, memorable experience with yourselves and your closest loved-ones. Of course, this is such an important moment to document with photography that follows you through the day and shows the connection you have with your friends and family and oh yeah, eachother!
Your photographer is with you all the way, check for availability for your elopement date and book a consultion to lock in your booking.
Starting at $1000 + GST with 2 hours of photography for weddings of 20 people or less. After the wedding your best photos will be edited and delivered via your own online gallery to download, print or share.

Absolutely! I find that well thought out planning of the photography for the various stages of the wedding day goes a very long way to making the day as fun and enjoyable as possible. We can set up a meeting in person in my Pyrmont studio or jump on a Zoom chat if that is more convenient.
In our initial consultation I will ask you about what planning you already have in place and from that I will bring your attention to the photographic aspects to make sure it will run smoothly, preventing issues such as running out of time to get photos before the ceremony, organising the order of familly photos and where the bride/groom photos will be taken just to name a few.
To the exent possible for the stage in the planing, we will sketch out a timeline for the day from the arrival at the first location through to the end of the photography booking, taking care to factor all the time needed for travel and set up so that nothing gets left out.
I will also ask you to inform me of any particular sentimental features of your wedding day and get an understanding of who the VIPs are amoung the guests.
We will set up a second consultation a week or so before the wedding day to make sure all the details are up to date and reconfirm the timeline and locations.
In short, the consultation is one of the ways we get to know more about each other so I can capture your wedding in a way that best shows who you are as a couple.
As a general rule I try to stay as candid as possible but occasionally I will step in at various parts of the day's photogtraphy to give some basic suggestions for posing and positioning that I know will add to that specific image. By doing this you can feel confident that what you're doing is what will look best for the photo and I can work to give you the greatest amount of range for your coverage. This mostly applies for the couples sessions but can also come in for the getting ready photos too.
You can also let me know if you prefer entirely candid coverage although this will likely have an effect on the range of images but add to the sponteneity of the day which is always fun!
Great question! Your photos will be culled, edited and colour graded before being uploaded to your private online gallery within 4-6 weeks from the date of the wedding. For Standard wedding package your photos will be downloadable in Jpeg format in web resoltion (1600px) while Premium Package includes web and Print resoltion.
You will also have access to the included print store where you can order a wide range of artwork supplied by some of Australia's longest running print labs with a passion for creating bespoke heirlooms of the highest quality. These are delivered between 6-8 weeks from the order date depending on your location.
The engagment sessions are mostly available on weekdays and usually in the afternoon to allow us to shoot in the golden hour just before sunset. During the consultation we can talk about places in the Sydney area that are especially sentimental to you as a couple and spend a couple of hours together findling cute and photogenic settings to shoot fun and romanic couples portraits that you turn into artwork for your home, use in your invitations or even set up in the reception of your wedding for your guests to enjoy.
If you don't live in the Sydney area we can arrange to shoot in a location at a mid point between us or if I am travelling to your area for another wedding we can plan the session to coincide.
I love to travel around Australia and overseas and I especially love to photograph weddings in a wide variety of scenery and season. However, to keep my photography package pricing affordable, the costs associated with getting to regional locations are not included.
Travel is included for weddings within 100 KM from Sydney CBD but will be charged at $1 per km, per photographer thereafter.
Also if your wedding is further than 200KM from Sydney CBD the client will need to provide for the cost of hotel accommodation to be arranged by Oscar Colman Weddings.
If your wedding is further than driving distance I can provide a tailored quote to cover travel and accommodation so please get in touch as early as possible to make these arrangements.
