Hi I’m Amy.
I am a wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographer and the heart behind the camera at Zara Lane Photography. I am incredibly passionate about meeting people and photographing their connections, their ongoing stories and what makes them - them!
I developed this passion from my Grandfather who was a great influence and had an incredible eye for lighting, detail and seeing the beauty in our surroundings. He gave me my first film camera and I haven’t looked back since. His passion became my passion and has led me to where I am today.
I love being able to share in the love of two individuals and feel blessed to get to work with such wonderful people each day!
I am based in Rockhampton, Queensland and love to travel for a destination wedding. I have been shooting weddings since 2011 and enjoy it as much now as I did when I shot my very first wedding.
Photography is my passion and a huge part of who I am. It allows me to express my creativity, meet amazing people and tell their stories. I love doing what I do and to create a career out of this is a dream come true!

A: I am very easy to get along with and will make you, your hubby, bridal party, guests and family feel relaxed and at ease. Your sessions will be candid and fun!
I love to use natural lighting as often as possible and strive to produce vibrant images full of love and life. My photography style is about capturing connections not just smiles.
A: Couples hire me because I believe in providing a wedding experience that goes above and beyond what everyone expects, I love making the process as stress free as possible. I want them to know I am there for them every step of the way, should it be advise, have a question, even if it isn’t relevant to my field, the chances are I can point them in the right direction, and i want them to know they are my priority and allow them to feel at ease when working with me.
A: Yes! You are free to print your images as you please.
A: Wedding collections come with one photographer, with the option to book a second.
A: The contract will state the time frame. It will depend on my work load and how many products are involved in your package. I always put sneak peeks up on my Facebook page for the lovely couple, I know they are excited and so am I.
A: Never fear, I am very experienced in getting you to relax in front of the camera. I will gently guide you for your photos and give you direction when needed. I will always make sure you are looking your best and you look comfortable. I have been known to tell a joke or two to lighten the mood or start pulling funny faces, but remember you are in love and you just got married, you will be so happy and comfortable in each other’s arms you will forget I am even there.
A: Yes! I love destination weddings and have been lucky enough to travel to several destination weddings in my time. Send me more information on your travel plans, and we will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs.
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints.
A: I am a Canon lover and I only carry the best gear to get the job done, including two cameras and a variety of top of the range lenses. I also have some lighting equipment but rarely use it as I love to use natural light as much as possible.
A: I use Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom and Photoshop CS6. I edit every single image.
This ensures consistency and my style flows throughout your entire collection of images.
A: If you would like to book with me, {Yippee I’m doing a happy dance!} the next step is to contact me, you can do this via the information provided in this booklet. A $500 deposit is required upon booking and the contract is due within 7 days of the deposit being paid.
