Jen's Obscura

Other than delivering high quality photos, I believe it is part of a photographer's job to make sure the couples feel comfortable and well looked after. That also allows me to create honest imagery that speaks to the heart. 

I believe in spontaneous storytelling. On an actual wedding day, my clients often find me blending in with the guests, while my lens would capture the most intimate emotions, with a sense of curiosity, compassion and sensitivity. And that story that only belongs to the two of you.

I strive to create meaningful experiences with my clients. On an engagement shoot, my clients would feel as if they are just having a date out. These natural moments will not only last in the photos but be remembered by the couples whenever they look at the pictures again in the future. 

About

I’m Chinese on the outside, Canadian on papers, Melbournian at heart and perhaps with gypsy blood. I prefer referring myself as a citizen of the mother Earth. I started taking portraits wanting to build the bridge to connect with people, leading to my realization that I could help couples celebrate their love and the endearing facets in their relationships by capturing them through my lens.
