Everything about weddings is my passion, and through careful observation and great attention to detail, I create a beautiful and unique narrative of it.
It is extremely important for me that you are completely satisfied with the result at the minimum. When it comes to weddings, I really aim to make the day unforgettable, with the photographs that I capture. ? ? ?
I am a natural light photographer and believe that daylight in all its forms is the most powerful tool for creating classic, elegant and romantic photos.
While shooting, I am trying to tell a story as opposed to just taking a few ordinary pictures. By mixing posed and journalistic style shots, I create an even-flowing, harmonious story of the wedding day as the final result. It’s a day filled with sincere smiles and hugs, tiny but such important details of the celebration, and of course, the bride, who takes a very special place in this story.
The perfect photo to me – is a timeless photo, the photo that your grandchildren will look at to think of just how beautiful you were that day. ? All of my photos are carefully, professionally retouched and light corrected, so have no doubt that you will look immaculate. Hi there! I'm Lily and I'm a wedding photographer on the Gold Coast. An art historian, a ballet fan and a French language student with Russian and Estonian roots, I am naturally in love with everything that makes our world more beautiful. Absolutely! A photographer is not the one to decide what your guests can or cannot do. It’s your wedding and your rules! I believe that every photo is valuable as a memory of your celebration.
If you are having less than 60 guests, you probably won’t need one. But if you feel like there is a lot to capture, there will be two of us for you! Please note that 2 photographers are available on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Yes, yes and yes! If you want your photos to look truly professional, chances are they will need to go through digital correction.
As you can see in my portfolio, my style is very natural and it may seem like I don’t retouch at all. This is because I never aim to create something that doesn’t exist, nor do I aim to turn my clients into different people. Instead I use digital correction to fix any annoying imperfections. I know how a sudden pimple can ruin the mood, or how annoying shaving marks are. Or how the tulle of the skirt can easily catch on leaves from the ground. Not even mentioning all those people in their bikinis right in the background of your beautiful beach ceremony. I would like you to keep only the best moments and memories and it’s my job to deliver immaculate pictures, so yes, Photoshop is our friend.
Videography is a completely different art that requires its own gear, education, and fees. Unfortunately, it would be impossible for to me to capture both photos and video at the same time even if I had the appropriate gear, but I am happy to refer you to some great videographers I rely on!
I choose quality over quantity.
Carefully selecting, I keep only the best of the best and retouch and color correct every single photograph to perfection. I strongly believe that every photo is a piece of art and try to make it look flawless.
As you could notice, I don’t deliver hundreds or thousands of simply light-corrected photos. I’m a perfectionist and my goal is to make every photo your favourite!
You will receive just the perfect number of immaculate photographs, and you'll be enjoying every one of them.
In the unlikely event of me getting sick (which would have to mean I’m literally fighting for my life in the hospital as opposed to having a sore throat), a second photographer will take my place.
Light rain is not a problem but I advise you to have a backup spot for the ceremony in case of a storm. If it will be impossible to shoot the photo session outside, we can use the reception venue or find a hotel with a nice lobby nearby. I want my customers to be 100% happy with the photos and I understand how disappointing the weather can be. To catch everything we’ve missed, I’ll provide a free additional hour for the photo session on another, sunny day.
