Documentary-style wedding photography directed by each unique story. We capture the grand occasions and the often missed moments to create magical, transportive imagery.

To the lovers, These days, it’s not so on-trend to admit to the world that you’re a hopeless romantic. But that’s the good thing about hopeless romantics: we’re not exactly shy when love is involved. We let ourselves be hypnotised by others, we’re fluent in feelings and we believe magic lives everywhere — especially in those fleeting moments no one else really notices. Us hopeless romantics make the best photographers, because we see the world through a rose-coloured lens. Still, my connection with the camera took me by surprise. A few years ago, my dad — a photography enthusiast — upgraded his camera, and I got hold of the hand-me down. It was a bit serendipitous, if you ask me. I learned the ropes and began shooting landscapes which, come to think of it, isn’t that different from my wedding photography style: unobtrusively documenting natural moments as they unfold before my eyes. The difference with a wedding — your wedding — is that there’s so much more magic to be had. I find (and capture) this magic in both the grand gestures and fleeting moments. An expression here, a belly laugh there. The movement of a dress, the dance of golden light. A special moment you didn’t realise was being captured. A long hug with a loved one. The sight of a late-night dancefloor that suggests you really had to be there. I blend documentary and editorial photography to visually tell your story so that it not only expresses who you are as a couple, but transports you back to the moment every time you look at your photos. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that the most beautiful moments aren’t born simply from creativity. To achieve magic, it also takes organisation and communication — but I’m sure you know all about that. Leading up to your day, I’ll be involved and collaborative. We’ll meet in person, plan concepts, talk timelines and visit venues. But on the day? If not for some helpful portrait direction, you wouldn’t even know I’m there. This is only the beginning. Maddy is an incredible photographer. We are so impressed and in love with our wedding photos! We met Maddy before she had even done a wedding! She offered us and engagement photo shoot and the photos were amazing and we booked her on the spot. Maddy is a lovely person and is very easy going, which made working with her a dream. We've seen photographers in the past who still produce beautiful work but can be a bossy and dont come across as nice people, this is the complete opposite with Maddy. She takes control without making you feel as if the photos are a chore, they seem natural and really capture the love we share for each other! I would highly recommend Maddy to anyone looking for a photographer as you will get to work with a wonderful person who will produce phots that are beautiful and of the highest quality!
